Vintage Button and Cork Stamps

I have been away from the blogging postings for awhile but thought I would give it a try again. I hope someone might find this interesting. This is something I read about in a Martha Stewart Living magazine  ages ago and wanted to try it and now I have all the components. You mount buttons with interesting textures on wine corks and use them as stamps. I plan on using them as stamps for making impressions in polymer clay. The corks make great handles. I have used a glue gun to attach the buttons to them. I got the wine corks at a yard sale (no I did not drink all that wine by myself) The buttons came from many yard sales and thrift stores also. I love buttons!

  3. I am glad yall like it.
Lately any wine I drink seems to have those recycled plasticy corks which would work here, but aren't as much use in some other cork crafts. I probably need to drink the better stuff. :)

  6. Love the idea. Was wondering if you had to spray the buttons with non-stick oil before you used on clay?? Can you use them with paints/glazes?? Thanks!!
